hi im sorry to hear about your little boy like you i lost my daughter she was born asleep on the 28th of august her due date was meant to be the 24th september. i do not no how long my daughter was dead for and due to this i cant get closure i cant believe i didnt notice i was still feeling a movement but it wss more of a pressing against my stomach which i just put down to her being nearly due and to big to move. i went to bed on the thursday night and woke up with severe cramps which i hoped meant she was coming early i didnt think those words would come back to haunt me later that day. i had a midwife appointment on the friday morning and the midwife checked to see which way my daughter was lieing and said she was engaged and ready to come out. then she checked the heartbeat... the rest of the day is a blur but by 10.10 friday night my daughter was born
i hope everything goes as well as it can for you during this hard time. take care xx

Hello Leah and thank you for you message. Your story is very similar to mine. I had been to my midwife on Monday and everything was fine. On Wednesday my homebirth pack was delivered and I remember saying to my DP that I was ready and Finlay could come anytime he wanted. Thursday night he was moving about as usual. Friday I remember him moving in the mornign but was working throughout the day and didn't take muuch notice that he was quiet as he always moved more at night time. I will regret that always. By Friday evenign i knew something was wrong and had a bath to try to get him to move but he didn't and I knew what had happened. I still didn't go to the hospital until early next morning as I didn't was them to tell me he had died. They couldn't find a heartbeat and I think mine broke then too. I had to go home then come back the following day to take medication to induce labour. He was born at 9.16pm on Monday 31st August, only 15 minutes after making it back to the hospital.
I'm glad to have found people I can talk to about this but sad that we have had to meet because of such terrible tragedy in all our lives. Look after yourself and speak when you need to. Sarah
